Welcome to Embracing Cords, where we create contemporary designs based on the Celtic tradition. We work in fine quality cotton and incorporate our love of color and beauty into pieces that will compliment your ceremony as you 'tie the knot' in style.

We are an Irish couple, Will & Niamh, living in Portugal. Our sister site is 'Embracing Union' which has been producing traditional woolen cords for over ten years. We love to strive for perfection, beauty and truth in all that we do. Embracing Cords was created after we were asked to produce a vegan version of the Irish "crios." A love of cotton grew and we began to produce knotwork and braided cords.

We have a select range of designed wedding cords which can add a touch of magic to your day and we also work with couples to produce personalized handfasting cords.
